Displacement

The Displacement feature is used to apply noise to a surface. It is typically used to create abnormalities or notches in a smooth surface, which are taken into account when shading the model.

By using the Displacement feature, you can create surface shapes that would be nearly impossible to achieve with a 3D modeller.

The Displacement shader includes the following types:
