Displacement

SHADER TYPE: Wrapped Rough

Wrapped Rough is a displacement type that can be used to represent a rough, wavy surface. This displacement is placed onto the surface of an object, and does not continue three-dimensionally inside the object. The Wrapped Rough shader type is suitable for representing rough surfaces such as cast metal.

Parameter: Explanation: Default value: Possible values and comments:
Scale Scale factor 1
Amplitude Amplitude of surface noise 0.1 0.0–1
Detail Noise diversity factor 3 1–6, highest value yields the most diverse result
Sharpness Noise sharpness factor 1 At low values such as 1, the surface shapes are sharp. Higher values such as 3 or 4 soften the boundaries.
