Add Eyebrow Trusses
You can use this function to add trusses to an eave return, for
example. The slope you select and the truss parameters will define
the shape of the trusses.
- Select Trusses > Special Trusses >
Eyebrow Trusses.
- Select the truss parameters. The previously selected parameters
are the default parameters. You can reselect the parameters by
using the function Edit
truss parameters on the contextual toolbar.
Eyebrow Truss
Parameters
- Select the slope.
- If you selected a slope whose length exceeds a certain limit,
you will be prompted: "Add trusses? Slope length is xxxxx." In this
situation, the program presumes that you have accidentally clicked
a wrong slope, for example the slope of the main roof. Do either of
the following:
- Select Yes. The program adds the trusses.
- Select Only Selected. You can select another slope
Note
- You can later edit the truss area using the following
functions:
- Edit a Truss Area - editing involves
the exact same steps as adding a truss area.
- Update Truss Shapes - you can
reselect trusses' upper and lower structures. In addition, you can
define the distance between the top or bottom chord of the truss
and the limiting structure.
- Generate Trusses - you can reselect
truss parameters.
