Edit a Truss Area

Editing a truss area involves the exact same steps as adding a truss area, see Add a Truss Area and Truss Volumes. Those selections defined in the adding phase, which you wish to retain, can be confirmed directly during the editing phase with the Confirm function.

You can edit the structures limiting the trusses from below and above by clicking the structures selected during the adding phase so that they are deselected, or by selecting new structures. Confirm the selections with the Confirm function.

If you have defined the below limiting area by selecting the edge points of the area, you can edit the edges by first canceling the points determined during the adding phase by pressing Ctrl+Z. After that, you can click the area edge points again, and select the Confirm function.

You can reselect truss line points by first canceling the points determined during the adding phase by pressing Ctrl+Z, and then selecting new points.

You can edit support structure selections by clicking the structures selected during the adding phase so that they are deselected, or by selecting new structures. Confirm the selections with the Confirm function.

The truss parameters will then be opened in a dialog box for editing.

  1. Select Trusses > Edit Truss Area.
  2. Select the truss area by clicking one of the trusses in the area.
  3. Follow the same steps as when adding a truss area. You can confirm the old selections right away by selecting the Confirm function.
