Generate Trusses

You can use this function to create new trusses for an existing truss area by reselecting the truss parameters. Select the truss parameters in a dialog box in the same way as when adding the truss area. Other selections made when adding the truss area, such as structures above and below the trusses, truss line points and support structures of trusses, remain unchanged. If necessary, you can edit them by using the Edit a Truss Area function.

1. Select Trusses > Common Trusses.
2. Select the truss area by clicking one of the trusses in the area.
3. Select the truss parameters.

• Other options for editing a truss area:
  • Edit a Truss Area - editing involves the exact same steps as adding a truss area.
  • Edit Supports - you can reselect the support structures of trusses and update them.
  • Update Truss Shapes - you can reselect trusses' upper and lower structures. In addition, you can define the distance between the top or bottom chord of the truss and the limiting structure.
