Editing framing fields

The function Floor Joists, Roof Rafters > Edit Framing Fields can be used to divide a framing into fields, add origin points to framing fields, change the direction of the framing and define the field properties. A framing field may contain several origins. The origin points determine where the placing of the joists is started. A joist is always positioned at the origin point. Select the horizontal structure by clicking. The program will mark the directions and locations of all current origin points in the framing. At this point you can use the context-sensitive menu functions to edit the framing fields or origin points.

Note

• When a framing is divided into fields, the program will add one origin point to each field.
• After selecting the origin points and properties for the framing field, you can update the framing also by selecting the function Add and refresh framing in the Framing button menu.
