Dividing a framing into fields with a line
This function can be used to divide a horizontal structure or
framing into fields. You can define individual framing properties,
origin points and framing directions for each field.
Divide a framing into fields with a line as follows:
- Select Floor Joists, Roof Rafters >
Edit Framing Fields.
- Select the method of selecting the structural layer, and select
the structure and if necessary, the structural layer (type
FRAMING).

- Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu.
- Select Add Split > By Line.
- If necessary, change the direction of the line as follows:
- Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu.
- Select one of the following:
- Vertical
- Horizontal
- Default (direction of the riser on a sloping plane)
- Select the direction
- Select the start point of the direction line.
- Select the end point of the direction line.
- Select the line location.
Note
- Before selecting a location for the division line, you can
change its direction to horizontal or vertical also by using the
cursor keys Arrow right or Arrow left.
- When a framing is divided into fields, the program will add one
origin point to each field. You can change the direction of the
field and the properties of the framing by editing the origin
point.
- After selecting the origin points and properties, you can
refresh the framing using the Add and
refresh framing function.
