Defining and Saving a View
You can define and save a model view in the project document
browser as follows:
- Activate the drawing window.
- Move the cursor over the Views heading in the document
browser.
- Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu.
- Select Add view.
- Enter a name for the view in the text box.
- Select the location of the view point.
- Click the viewing direction. The model window will activate and
the model will be set in the defined view.
- If necessary, you can adjust the view by rotating or zooming
the model.
- Select Confirm. The view will be saved in the
Projection menu and under the Views heading in the
document browser.
Note
- The default values for the view point height, inclination and
viewing angle are displayed in prompts on the status bar. You can
change these default values as follows:
- Before selecting the location of the view point, you can select
its height (Z coordinate) and inclination (°) by clicking the
Z button. Enter the values in the text box. Enter the Z
coordinate relative to the floor base height.
- Before selecting the viewing direction, you can select the
viewing angle (°) by clicking the Angle button. Type the
value in the text box.
- If you select this function while the model window is active,
the location of the viewing point and the viewing direction will
not be defined. Before selecting the function, you can set the view
in the model window to your liking, for example with the View
> View 3D function.
- You can delete the view you have saved by restoring the default
views.
