Other views
You can set the model to the desired view in the working window
by selecting the view in the Other Views dialog box. Parallel
projections and views saved by the user are displayed in the list
in the dialog box.
You can also use the views when saving the model to a 3D PDF
file.

a Model as a 3D PDF File
Setting a Model in a View
View the model in the working window.
- Select Projection> Other View.
- Select the view check box from the list.
The model is set to the desired view in the working window. The
original view is restored when you remove the selection.
- Close by clicking the OK button.
Saving a Custom View
You can set the model to the desired view in the working window
and save the view. The viewing direction (angles), zoom,
perspective and model section mode on planes parallel to the
coordinate axes (3D Limits) are saved for this view. The view can
be model-specific or applicable to all models. You can use custom
views in 3D PDF files saved from the model. Save a custom view as
follows:
- Set the model to the desired view in the working window.
- Select Projection> Other View.
- Click the Add button.
- Type the name in the View name field.
- Do either of the following:
- Clear the
Model Specific checkbox. You can set any model in the view.
The view can be selected for all models.
- Select the Model Specific checkbox.
You can only set the model opened in the window in the view. The
view can only be selected for the model in question.
- Confirm by clicking OK.

You can edit and update the views you have saved as follows:
- Select Projection> Other View.
- Select the view check box from the list. The model is set to
the desired view in the working window.
- Activate the model window and change the view by zooming,
rotating the model or cropping the model on the section layer, for
example.
- To display the view name in the View Name field, select
the name from the list.
- Click the Update button.
- Confirm by clicking OK.
Deleting a Custom View
You can delete the views you have saved as follows:
- Select Projection> Other View.
- To display the view name in the View Name field, select
the name from the list.
Do not select the view checkbox because the
view that is active in the model window cannot be deleted.
- Click the Delete button.
- Confirm by clicking OK.
Note
- You can also save the view by adding a view point corresponding
to the view in the floor plan drawing using the function File
> Other Print Functions > Save View on the menu bar. You
can open the view in the model window at a later date with the
function File > Other Print Functions > Open
View.
- You can also define and save a view in the project document
browser.
