Define a 3D View in a Drawing
You can set a model view by defining the location of the view
point and viewing direction in the floor plan. The view is a
perspective projection.
- Activate the drawing window.
- Select View > View 3D from the menu bar.
- Select the location of the view point.
- Click the viewing direction.
The model window will activate and the model will be set in the
defined view. Rotate the model around the view point as
follows:
- Hold down the Shift+Ctrl keys and the left mouse button, and
move the mouse.
Note
- The default values for the view point height, inclination and
viewing angle are displayed in prompts on the status bar. You can
change these default values as follows:
- Before selecting the location of the view point, you can select
its height (Z coordinate) and inclination (°) by clicking the
Z button. Enter the values in the text box. Enter the Z
coordinate relative to the floor base height.
- Before selecting the viewing direction, you can select the
viewing angle (°) by clicking the Angle button. Type the
value in the text box.
- You can save the view in the following ways:
- Save the view in the Projection menu by selecting
Projection > Add Current View Here.
- Add a view point corresponding to the view in the floor plan
drawing with the function File > Other Print Functions >
Save View on the menu bar.
- Depending on the way you have saved the view, you can later
activate it in the model window in following ways:
- Select the view you have saved in the Projection
menu.
- Select File > Other Print Functions > Open View
from the menu bar. Click the view point symbol in the floor plan
drawing.
- Restore the visibility of the entire model by selecting one of
the projections in the Projection menu.
