Document Information
You can attach additional information to a document, such as a
drawing number or a revision log. You can attach additional
information either to an open document, or to a set of documents of
an open project.
- Open the project whose documents you want to define information
for.
- If you want to define additional information to a specific
document, open the document.
- Do one of the following:
- Right-click in the active document to open the
context-sensitive menu and select Active Document Data from
the menu.
- Select File > Document Archive > Edit Active
Document from the menu bar.
- Select File > Document Archive > Edit All Project
Documents from the menu bar.
The Project Document Information database view is opened. If you
opened the database view with the File > Document Archive
> Edit All Project Documents function, you can browse the
documents with the cursor keys arrow up and arrow down.
- The default data according to the document type has been
defined in document base
cards. You can add and change the data in the database view:
- File - The file name of the active document is displayed in the
field. If you add or copy rows using the functions in the
Edit menu of the database view, you can select another file
name in the field by clicking the Select button.
- Description - The default description text for the document has
been defined in the document base card, or the program has
automatically generated it. If you type your own description in the
text field, it will be used in the project's document browser, for
example. If you leave the field empty, the default description will
be used.
- Construction type
- Drawing type
- Page no.
- Drawn by - You can type in the text field, or select the
designer from a list.
- Drawing number
- Creation data - You can update the date with the current one by
clicking the Update button.
- Project main number
- Design area
- Drawing title and Scale
- Option Description
- Options - Select from the Options database by clicking the
Select button.
- Confirm by clicking OK.
You can edit the alternatives on the Drawn By list by
opening the project data card with the File > Project Data
Card function and clicking the Edit Address Book button
on the Connection Data page. This function is available on a
project data card of the basic software delivery.
You can also define document information in the following
ways:
- When you search documents from
the project archive:
- Select the document from the search results.
- Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu.
- Select Document Data. The Project Document Information
dialog box opens.
- When you browse the project documents in the document browser:
- Select the document in the browser.
- Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu.
- Select Document Data. The Project Document Information
dialog box opens.
