Document Base Cards

You can define default data for documents of different types on document base cards. The default data is automatically completed in the document information based on the document type.

  1. Select System Settings > General System Setup > Document Base Cards. The Document Base Cards database view opens.
  2. You can browse the cards by using the cursor keys, Arrow up and Arrow down. If necessary, create a new card by adding a row in the database in one of the following ways:
  3. Select the types of documents for which you wish to define default data. Click the Select button next to the Type field, and select a document type from the list. For example, Pair2D = drawing of a drawing-model pair or Sheet = drawing on a sheet.
  4. Define the default data according to the type in the database view:
  5. Confirm by clicking OK.

Some of the data is added to the title block of the drawing sheet; see Title Block Information.

You can edit the alternatives on the Drawn By list by opening the project data card with the File > Project Data Card function and clicking the Edit Address Book button on the Connection Data page. This function is available on a project data card of the basic software delivery.
