Document Revisions

You can add the information about the changes made to the document in the document's revision database. You can add revision information either for an open document, or for a set of documents of an open project.

  1. Open the project whose documents you want to add revision information to.
  2. If you want to define revision information for a specific document, open the document.
  3. Do one of the following:

    The Project Document Information database view is opened. If you opened the database view with the File > Document Archive > Edit All Project Documents function, you can browse the documents with the cursor keys arrow up and arrow down.

  4. Activate the Document Revisions database view under the Project Document Information database view.
  5. Add a row to the database by clicking the Add row button.
  6. Define the revision information. Do either of the following:
  7. Confirm by clicking OK.

= If the document to be edited is a drawing sheet, the information is added to the title block of the drawing sheet, see Title Block Information.

When you search documents from the project archive, you can view the revision numbers you have defined for a document in the following way:

  1. Select the document from the search results.
  2. Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu.
  3. Select Properties. The Project Document Information database view and the Document Revisions database view open.
