Drawing Schedule
You can create a drawing schedule of the project drawings,
either in a text file or an Excel worksheet. The schedule data is
collected from the project's FILEINFO database, in which the design
data of the drawings is defined.
- Do either of the following:
- Select Drawings > Drawing
Schedule.
- Select the function in the project's document browser:
- Move the cursor on the title Schedules.
- Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu.
- Select Drawing Schedule.
- If necessary, edit the data in the Drawing Schedule database
view. The changes will only be saved in the drawing schedule, not
the FILEINFO database.
- Confirm by clicking OK.
- Select the file format from the list:
- Txt - The drawing schedule piclist.txt is opened in the
text editor defined in the settings. The file is saved in the
project folder.
- Excel - The drawing schedule pic_list.xls is opened in
the application linked to the file extension. The file is saved in
the project folder.
Note
- You can open the FILEINFO database for editing with the File
> Document Archive > Edit All Project Documents function.
You can browse the documents by using the cursor keys, Arrow up and
Arrow down. Alternatively, you can open the data of an individual
drawing by clicking the right mouse button in the window of the
active drawing and selecting Active Document Data from the
menu.
- The generation of a drawing schedule in an Excel worksheet
requires that the ../user/SETUP file contain the keyword
set.vxtoxl.tmpfile= "./VertexToExcel.txt".
- The XLS file contains macros that must be run in order to open
the file in Excel. The default method of opening the files in Excel
depends on the macro virus protection level: the macros can either
be automatically run or removed from use or the program may prompt
the user to select whether or not the macros are run.
