Create a Panel Drawing

This function can be used to create panel drawings for the selected floor, roof or wall panels. A panel drawing shows different views of the panel and schedules of the panel parts.

The panel drawing is based on the selected template drawing. The basic delivery of the software includes template drawings for both A4 and A3 sheets. The locations and sizes of the views and schedules to be added to the panel drawing are defined in the template drawing. The default scale of the view is determined by the size in which it fits into the view area.

When you created the panels, you selected a part numbering system which determines how the parts (beams), sheathing and joints of the floor or roof panel are numbered. The program will automatically number and catalog the different parts of the panel when you create the panel drawing.

1. Select Panels > Create Panel Drawing.
2. Select the panels.
3. Select Confirm.
4. Select a template drawing in the dialog box. The suitable template drawings are highlighted in blue in the dialog box. One of the suitable template drawings is selected by default.

5. Confirm by clicking OK.

The program will generate the panel drawings.

The panel drawings are temporarily stored in the Tmp folder in the project folder. Final panel drawings are saved in the Se folder in the project folder when the project is saved. Just like with projects, previously saved versions are also kept of the panel drawings. The panel drawings have the same version number as the project. When you close a project, you can select old versions to be deleted and keep only the latest saved version of both the project and the panel drawings.

Note

• An asterisk (*) after the panel label marked in the drawing of a drawing-model pair indicates that the panel drawing is not up to date. When you create or update the panel drawing, the asterisk is removed from the label. You can update a panel drawing either by recreating the drawing, or by opening the drawing and selecting it to be updated.
• Alternatively, you can select the function from the context-sensitive menu:
  1. Select a panel.
  2. Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu.
  3. Select Open Panel Drawing.
  4. Select Build/Update.
• If the panels you selected include panels that already have panel drawings, the program will prompt you to confirm replacing the old panel drawings with new ones.
• You can edit a template drawing for example by adding or editing texts.
