Open a Panel Drawing

You can open a roof, floor or wall panel drawing to a separate drawing window by clicking a panel in the floor plan, or by double-clicking a panel label in the project document browser.

Open a Panel Drawing by Clicking a Panel in the Floor Plan

1. Select Panels > Open Panel Drawing.
2. Select the panels.

   If a panel drawing exists of all the panels, you can select all the panels in the framing model by pressing Ctrl+A.

3. Select Confirm.

   If you selected a panel that has been edited, select Update.

   If you selected a panel of which a panel drawing has not been created yet, select Build/Update.

   If you selected all the panels in the framing model by pressing Ctrl+a, and some panels are missing panel drawings, you will receive an error message, and the function is interrupted.

   You can recognize a panel that needs to be updated from the asterisk (*) at the end of the panel label in the floor plan.

4. Edit, save and close the panel drawing.

Note

• When you attach an external object to be shown in the panel drawing to the panel, the change does not affect the panel and the asterisk is not added to the panel label. However, the change requires the panel drawing to be updated. The program suggests the updating, when you open the drawing.
• Alternatively, you can select the function from the context-sensitive menu:
  1. Select a panel.
  2. Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu.
  3. Select Open Panel Drawing.

Open a Panel Drawing from the Project Document Browser

1. Open the branch Structural drawings.
2. Open the branch Floor panels, Roof panels or Wall panels.
3. Double-click a panel label.
4. Edit, save and close the panel drawing.
