Define Cladding

Select the framing tool Cladding for a layer with a cladding. You can only select the tool for layers of the COVER type. First, expand the layers of the structure. You can define a cladding material for the siding layer or a wall panel when the siding layer has been included in the panel. You can select the layers included in the panel when you generate the panel breaks.

1. Select Floor Joists, Roof Rafters > Cladding > Define Cladding.
2. Select the method of selecting the structural layer, and select the structure and the structural layer (type COVER).

   You can only select a layer when the layers of the structure have been expanded.

3. Select Confirm. The Framing Tools dialog box is opened.
4. Add a new framing tool for the layer, or change the selected tool. Select Cladding as the type of the framing tool.

5. Edit the tool parameters.

6. Confirm by clicking OK.

Note

• You can also define cladding for a horizontal structure panel or a wall panel. The layers of the structure do not need to be expanded then.
