Adding Cladding to a Panel Drawing
You add a cladding or a staggered cladding to a wall panel
drawing.
- Open the panel drawing.
- Select Classic Wall Panels > Panel Settings
> Add Cladding.
- Select either of the following as the siding type:
- Staggered cladding
- Cladding
- Select the parameters of the cladding.
Note
- Using this function requires that the wall panel settings be
edited. Editing the settings is the system administrator’s task. In
the automatic execution settings, the drawing of siding outline in
the panel drawing is defined as follows:

The siding outline can be disabled by setting the value in the
Exec field to 0. In addition to the siding outline setting,
the siding’s 3D volume must have a geometry property Transfer to
panel drawing (TO_PANELDWG, see General Wall 3D
Volume Properties.
- If you want to add a cladding to panel drawings of projects
created with the 10.2 or older version of the software, copy the
databases d_CLADDING and d_CLADDING2 from the ../system/dbases
folder to the project folder.
- You can also display the staggered cladding in the section view
of the panel, if the layer 240 has been set visible with the
keyword elev_cross_sect_piecelayer in the WALLS keyword group. You
can add a section view to the panel drawing by using the function
Generating a Panel Cross
Section. The distance of the siding from the wall frame has
been defined in the wall library.
