Edit Wall Panel Data

By editing the properties of a wall panel, you can change the framing tool of a panel layer or edit its parameters. The tools define the design rules for the frame, sheathing, horizontal batten and sub frame layers – for example, the details, stud spacing, sheet size, etc. After editing or changing the tool, regenerate the panel parts and update the panel drawing.

Edit the framing tools of one or more identical panels as follows:

1. Select Wall Panels > Edit Panel Attributes.
2. Do one of the following:
   • Select an individual wall panel.
   • Press and hold the Ctrl key or use area selection to select several wall panels.
   • Press Ctrl+A to select all the wall panels.
3. Select Confirm.

   The Wall Panel Properties dialog box opens.

4. Select a layer in the Layers list.
5. Select Framing Tools. The Framing Tools dialog box is opened.
6. Change or edit the tool.
   • Add or change the layer tool.

7. Confirm by clicking OK.

Then, regenerate the panel parts and update the panel drawing. The program prompts you to update the panel drawing when you open the drawing.

Note

• You can edit panel properties after creating the panel breaks.
• Before creating the panel breaks, you can edit the wall framing tool parameters by editing the properties of the wall.

• If the selected panels do not match, the following error message will be displayed: "Layers have different framing tools. Differences in layers detected. Cannot edit properties."
