Adding a Support Symbol

This function can be used to add a truss support symbol to a 2D drawing or 3D model. Before adding a support symbol, you must display the support marks of the truss by using the Show Supports function. You can create a support based on the support symbol by using Defining Supports function.

1. If necessary, display the support marks of the truss by selecting the Trusses > Advanced > Show Supports function.
2. Select Trusses > Advanced > Add Support Symbol.
3. Select the truss.
4. Rotate the support symbol or change its size factor or reference point, if necessary.
5. Select the location of the support symbol.

Note

• You can also add a support symbol to the truss envelope drawing. Open the truss envelope drawing using the Editing a Truss in a 2D Drawing function, and then select the Adding support symbol function and follow steps 3 and 4. After closing the truss envelope drawing, the support symbols added will also be displayed in the project's 2D drawing and 3D model.
