Dividing sheathing into fields with a line
This function can be used to divide a horizontal structure or
sheathing into fields. You can define individual origin points and
sheathing directions for each field.
Divide sheathing into fields with a line as follows:
- Select Floor Joists, Roof Rafters > Sheathing
> Define Sheathing Base Point.
- Select the method of selecting the structural layer, and select
the structure and the structural layer (type SHEET).

- Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu.
- Select Add Split > By Line.
- If necessary, change the direction of the line as follows:
- Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu.
- Select one of the following:
- Vertical
- Horizontal
- Default (direction of the riser on a sloping plane)
- Select the direction
- Select the start point of the direction line.
- Select the end point of the direction line.
- Select the line location.
Note
- Before selecting a location for the division line, you can
change its direction to horizontal or vertical also by using the
cursor keys Arrow right or Arrow left.
- When sheathing is divided into fields, the program will add one
origin point to each field. You can change the direction of the
sheathing by editing the origin point.
- Update the sheathing by selecting Add a
sheathing.
