Adding ladder backer line to framing

This function can be used to add a ladder backer line between two joists. The line goes between the joists parallel to the framing direction. You can also add framing pieces between the joists as shown in the figure below.

Add the ladder backer line in the following way:

1. Select Floor Joists, Roof Rafters > Edit Framing Lines.
2. Select the method of selecting structure.

3. Select the method of selecting structural layer.

4. Select the structure and the structural layer (type FRAMING).
5. Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu.
6. Select Add Ladders.
7. Select the start point of the line.
   
8. Select the end point of the line.
   
9. Select the framing detail.

Note

• As a default, all framing line symbols are visible in the floor plan drawing. If necessary, you can hide the ladder backer line symbols by clicking the button Ladder lines on the contextual toolbar.
