Select the properties of the floor or roof panels to be built in the Panel Build dialog box. The default values for the properties are defined in the keyword group BDSXX with the keyword se_default.
Numbering
Type the prefix for a floor or roof panel in the text field. Type a number from which to start the panel numbering.
Structure
The framing structure of the floor or roof panel is created using an application development program. Select the program to be used from the list. The application development program will add two origins in the panel: panel origin and framing origin. The program will create framing for the panels based on edge details selected by the user. You can enter the parameters related to the framing by clicking the Parameters button.
Parameters
The button opens the Framing Properties dialog box. Make the following selections in the dialog box:
Joist spacing - Select the joist spacing from the list, or enter the spacing in the text field.
Shortest span, Longest span - Select the direction of the shortest span (A) or the longest span (B) as the direction of the joists.
Sheathing - If a sheathing layer is included in the panel, select the layer's framing tool by clicking the Frm Tools button.
Generate parts - When the check box is selected, parts will be added to all those layers which are included in the panel, and for which a framing tool has been defined.
Use
Select the intended use for the floor or roof panels from the list.
Remove panel breaks
Select this check box if you want to remove all added panel breaks when the panels are created. Clear the check box, if you want the panel breaks to remain in the floor plan. In this case, the panel breaks can be used, if you want to recreate the panels later.
Type Selection
Select the type of the panels (ceiling, floor, roof, roof gable) by clicking the button. The other properties in the dialog box will be refreshed accordingly. You can change the properties, if necessary.
