Defining a Section View

With this function, you can define a view from inside the building. The view will be an axonometric projection. You can use this function to create kitchen furnishing drawings, for example. The view is produced directly from the architectural model Model.vxm. The view is defined by two section lines:

You can define a mere view, which can be added to any drawing sheet, or you can produce a complete drawing sheet of the view. Define the view as follows:

  1. Activate the drawing window.
  2. Do either of the following:
  3. Click the start point of the section line.
  4. Select the end point of the section line. The Edit View Data dialog box opens.
  5. Type the label of the view in the Label field.
  6. Type the name of the view in the Name field.
Spaces are not allowed in the view name, as it determines the name of the drawing sheet as well.
  7. Select the scale from the Scale list.
  8. Type the z coordinate of the bottom edge of the view in relation to the floor base height in the View base height field. The default value is -0.1, in which case the line presenting the top surface of the floor is also displayed in the view.
  9. Type the height of the view in the View height field.
  10. Confirm by clicking OK. You will receive the prompt: "Create sheet?"
  11. Do either of the following:
