View Tasks

In the View Tasks dialog box, you can select to update generation models and/or views as well as the view draw settings, and the drawing sheet to be opened. The drawing sheet alternatives are customer-specific.

Update views

When you open a sheet for the first time, select the Update views check box. The elevation and cross section views will then be updated to match the model and the drawing settings. If the check box is clear, the sheet is only opened without updating the views.

Update models

When you generate elevations and cross sections for the first time, update the drawing generation models, if you have not already updated them by selecting the Updating Drawings or Updating a Drawing Generation Model function, for example. Update the drawing generation model also when you have modified the building model.

When you change the building model, save the model before updating the drawing sheets. Otherwise the changes are not updated in the floor plan drawings or in the drawing generation models.

Drawing settings

The default drawing method of the views is wireframe. You can also select OpenGL shading or Lightworks shading (requires the Visualization add-on feature for the software) as the drawing method.

The same drawing method is used for all views unless you have selected a different drawing method for an individual view in the view properties. If you have selected individual drawings settings for views, but you want to use the same here selected drawing method for all views, select the check box Override view specific settings.

View Draw Settings

New

Create a new drawing sheet as follows:

1. Click the New button.

2. Type a name for the sheet in the text window.

3. Add a drawing sheet to the drawing window with the Add Drawing Sheet and Title Block function.

4. Add the drawings on the sheet by using the Add Drawing to Sheet function.

5. Save the drawing sheet with the File > Save function in the View_Sheets directory that is located in the project directory.

6. Close the sheet.

The sheet can then be selected from the dialog box's Sheets list under its own name.

Remove

Delete a drawing sheet by selecting the desired sheet from the Sheets list and click the Delete button. The program will ask for confirmation before deleting the selected sheet. You can delete several sheets at once by selecting the sheets with the Ctrl key pressed down.
