Add a Part from the Model Archive

You can add a part model saved in the model archive or an assembly to a building model as follows:

1. Select 3D Modeling > Add G4 Part From Model Archive.
2. Define the search data.

3. If necessary, rotate the part and/or change its reference point.
   • Rotating a Part Around the X, Y or Z Axes
   • Changing the Alignment Point
   • Rotating a Part in Relation to a Surface
   • Selecting a Point on a Surface
4. Select a location for the part.
5. Do one of the following:
   • Select the next location for the part, if you are adding the same part more than once.
   • Accept the added part with the Confirm function.
6. Do one of the following:
   • Select a new part to be added from the archive.
   • Finish using the function by pressing the Esc key.

Note

• You can add a part directly from a file by using the Add a Part from a File function.
• The part model or assembly will be saved in the archive when you are saving the model for the first time using the File > Save function, or later with the File > Save File As function, and you answer Yes to the following question: "Add to model archive?"
