Reference Line Text

Use this function to add a reference line text to a drawing. Type the text in the Text dialog box. You can select a text you have added before from the Previous Texts list. Before positioning a text you can change the text properties and select an auxiliary positioning function.

1. Add a reference line text by selecting one of the following:
   • Select Texts> Reference Text 1
   • Select Texts> Reference Text 1 (no leader line)
   • Select Texts> Reference Text 2
   • Select Texts> Reference Text 2 (no leader line)
2. Type the text content in the Text dialog box.
3. Select the text properties.
4. Click the start point of the reference line.
5. Click the text location.
6. Quit by selecting Cancel.

Note

• You can select several reference line points by selecting the Meander line function after selecting the start point of the text. Click the reference line points and accept point selected last as the position of the text by selecting Confirm.
• You can add branches to a reference line by activating the grip point of the reference line, and by selecting the grip point function Add Branch.

Arrow Type of a Reference Line Text

You can set the arrow type of a reference line text in the system settings.

1. Select Settings > Edit Setup from the menu bar.
2. If necessary, select the Administrator's View checkbox.
3. Find the keyword leader_line_arrow.
4. Edit the value of the keyword.

   leader_line_arrow= 1:

   

   leader_line_arrow= 2:

   

   Confirm by clicking OK.

5. Restart Vertex.

Editing the Size of the Arrow/Ball of a Reference Line Text

You can edit the size of the reference line text arrow and ball in the settings.

1. Select Settings > Edit Setup from the menu bar.
2. If necessary, select the Administrator's View checkbox.
3. Find the keyword meas_end_scale.
4. Edit the value of the keyword.

   For example: Value 0.9 1 0.09 0.9 0 1.0

   0.9 Arrow size

   1.0 Ball size

5. Confirm by clicking OK.
6. Restart Vertex.
