Selecting Layers from a
ListThis function can be used to define print settings such as the printer, scale, plot area, layers to print, and placement of the drawing. You can determine the properties in the dialog box.
Printer
The list shows the printer options: Windows and Vertex printers. Select a suitable printer.
Adding a Windows printer is described in the Defining a New Printer section.
Properties
This function will open the default settings of the Windows printer for viewing and editing. They are displayed in a dialog box, which you can also open by selecting the Windows function Start > Settings > Printers > Document Defaults. The printer properties include paper size, source, number of copies, orientation (portrait/landscape), print method, resolution, etc.
Sheet
When you select a printer other than a Windows printer, you must select the sheet size. A default sheet can be defined when adding a printer.
Scale
The scale determines the size of the drawing to be printed in relation to the sheet size. The Fit to page scale will make the drawing as large as possible on the sheet. Another option is the scale From picture. You can also define the scale by yourself.
Number of copies
Sets the number of copies to be printed. The default value is 1. Define a value, if necessary.
Quality
When you print a model you can select one of the following options as the method of representation:
Wire frame - Vertex wire frame model with hidden lines removed.
OpenGL rendering - The model will be shaded as even faces with the colors of the elements.
OpenGL rendering white background
Plot area
When printing the entire drawing, select the All option. By selecting the Window option, you can select the plot area in the drawing by clicking two points: Click the lower left and the upper right corner point, or enter the coordinates for the area.
Layers to print
The elements in a drawing have been drawn on certain layers. The drawing layers to be printed can be defined as groups and/or single layers. The dialog box will display the elements in the drawing that are included in the layers selected for printing. By selecting all the layers, you can print all the elements in the drawing.

You can place the drawing on the sheet by using the Place drawing function. By clicking the button in the middle, you can place the drawing in the middle of the sheet. By clicking another button, you can move the drawing 10 mm in the direction of the positive or negative axis. The offset will be shown as coordinates in the dialog box. You can also choose to rotate the drawing 90 degrees on the sheet.
Add drawing to sheet
You can add several drawings to the same sheet, if a Vertex printer has been defined in the SETUP file under the keyword plotter. The function can also be selected for Windows printers. This requires that you have selected a sufficiently large sheet.
You can select this function after defining the print settings. When you select the function, the drawing window is activated. Open the drawing to be added to the sheet in the window. If necessary, you can change the scale of the drawing. Select the Print function again. The drawing will be displayed on the sheet, and you can position it. The previous drawing will be displayed on the sheet as a black area. After adding all the drawings, accept the print. The program will prompt you to confirm the print.
