Creating and Editing Custom Toolbars
You can create custom floating button menus and choose the
functions you use often for them.
Vertex G4: Only suited for
the creation and editing of 2D toolbars.
- Select Settings > Custom Toolbars. The Custom
Toolbars dialog box opens.

- Do either of the following:
- Create a new button menu
- Click the New Toolbar button.
- Enter a name for the toolbar in the text window.
- Add a function to a custom button menu
- Select the button menu to which you wish to add a function from
the Custom Toolbars list.
- Select one of the application's default button menus from the
System Toolbar list. The functions of the button menu are
displayed in a box below it.
- Add a function to a custom button menu in one of the following
ways:
- Double-click a function.
- Select a function and click the Add Item button.
- Change the order of the functions
- Select a function in the Custom Toolbars box.
- Click the Up or Down button.
- Delete a function from a custom button menu
- Select a function in the Custom Toolbars box.
- Click the Delete Item button in the dialog box.
- Rename a button menu
- Select a button menu name from the Custom Toolbars
list.
- Click the Rename button.
- Enter a new name in the text window.
- Modify the visibility of the button menu in the
workspace
- Select a button menu name from the Custom Toolbars
list.
- Do either of the following:
- Select the Visible checkbox if you wish to have the
button menu to be visible in the workspace.
- Clear the Visible checkbox if you wish to hide the
button menu from the workspace.
- Delete a custom button menu
- Select a button menu name from the Custom Toolbars
list.
- Click the Delete Toolbar button in the dialog box.
- Confirm by clicking the OK button.
