Adding a Flat
Start designing by creating a new project - main project. Add a
drawing-model pair of the flat project into the active
drawing-model pair of the main project. The drawing-model pair will
be added as a reference drawing and reference model.
- Select Townhouse Application > Add
Flat.
- Select the flat project and the drawing-model pair in a dialog
box.
Select
Flat
- If you choose to add the entire drawing-model pair from the
flat project, you can position the flat in the main project's
drawing-model pair in either a 2D drawing or a 3D model. As a
default, the origin of the reference drawing or model will be used
as the reference point. Before positioning the flat, you can use
the functions on the contextual toolbar to rotate or mirror the
flat, change the reference point or add the flat as a chain of
copies, for example.
Auxiliary Functions
for Adding a Flat
- Select the location of the flat.
Note
- If you are using a steel framing system, you can base your flat
project on a template project called TEMPLATE-FLAT. The project
includes a coarse framing model frame_coarse.vxm in which profiles
are shown in a coarse representation. You can use this coarse model
when you add a flat to the main project. This makes the project
lighter and easier to manage.
- You can load a flat from a flat project to another
drawing-model pair of the main project by using the Loading a Flat function.
- Select the project.
- Select the drawing or model file to be added, or both.
- If necessary, select an auxiliary function.
- Select the location of the flat.
