Adding a Building to a Terrain Model

You can add a building to a terrain model. The building can be modeled in another drawing-model pair in the same project, or you can select a building from another project. It is easiest to select the building location in a 2D drawing. You can use an auxiliary function to define the height position of the building.

  1. Select Terrain > Add Building.
  2. Select the building in the dialog box.

    Select Building Dialog Box

  3. When you use the default height 0, the building is placed in the base z-height of the terrain. If necessary, you can change the elevation of the building using the Select Elevation function in the contextual toolbar. Enter the elevation in the text box.

Enter the elevation in millimeters. If you are using the Imperial system, enter the elevation in inches.

  4. If necessary, mirror or rotate the building using the functions in the contextual toolbar.
