Designing a Stair with the Stair Tool
You can use the Stair Tool to design stairs from the parts in
the stair library: steps, strings and railings. You can select
different start and middle balusters for railings. A stair is an
assembly comprising different parts.
- Do either of the following:
- Select Building Components > Stairs >
Stair Tool.
- Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu, and select
Stair Tool.
- Select the stair type and parameters in the Stair Generator
dialog box.

- If necessary, change the reference point of the stairs, rotate
or mirror the stairs, or select another function from the
contextual toolbar.

- Select the location of the stairs in the drawing.

- You can also add basic stairs by selecting a preset stair type
from the Stairs menu.
