Saving Projects to VXZ Files
You can use the File > Project Archive > Export
Projects To VXZ Files function to create a compressed file of
the selected project folder, which can then be sent as an e-mail
attachment, for example. If necessary, you can remove the folder of
the compressed project from the project archive.
- Select File > Project Archive > Export Projects To VXZ
Files from the menu bar.
- Select the projects to be compressed in a dialog box. You can
sort projects by name, date, saving location or description by
clicking the headers. Select several projects with the Ctrl key
pressed down. Each project is compressed into a VXZ file of its
own.
Selecting from a
List
- Click OK.
- Select the folder where you want to save the compressed files
in the Folder Browser dialog.
- Click OK. The program compresses the selected projects
and saves the VXZ files in the selected folder. The VXZ files are
named according to the project ids, for example Project_1.vxz.
- Do either of the following:
- If you want to keep the folders of the compressed projects in
the project archive, click No.
- If you want to delete the folders of the compressed projects
from the project archive, click Yes.
Note
- The files that will be included in the compressed file are
defined in the Pack_Control file, located either in the project
folder or the Setup folder.
- You can also save an open project to VXZ file by selecting the
function in the project's document browser.
- You can also save a project to VXZ file when closing the
project by selecting the check box Export project to VXZ
file in the dialog box.
