Print a Drawing or a Model
The software uses Windows printers for printing the document. In
addition, the software can have Vertex printers in use, defined in
a setup file.
The presentation method for a printed model in the work window
may be wire frame, shaded or visualized.
- Do one of the following:
- Select File > Print from the menu bar.
- Select Print > Print from
the toolbar.
- Define the print settings in a dialog box.
- Select the printer from the Printer list.
- If necessary, click the Properties button to edit the
printer properties.
- Select the scale from the Scale list.
- Select one of the following as the area to be printed:
- Click All when you want to print the entire
drawing.
- Click Window when you want to print a certain area of
the drawing.
- When printing a drawing, define which elements to print by
clicking the Layers to print button.
- Position the drawing or model on the sheet using the Place
drawing buttons.

- Confirm your choices.
Note
- You can edit printing by pressing the Printer properties
button. This change will be temporary. The change is valid until
you start the software again, when the software will read the
default printer settings from the settings.
- You can define several drawings on one sheet by using the
Add drawing to sheet button. This requires that you have
selected a sufficiently large sheet.
- You can print a document to a PDF file, see PDF printing.
- You can edit the properties of a Windows printer by selecting
Start > Settings > Printers > Document Defaults.
- The properties of Vertex printers are defined in the
../user/SETUP file under the keyword plotter.
