Enter Rotation Angles around the Z, Y and X Axes

You can use this function to rotate a component around the Z (gamma), Y (beta) and X (alpha) axes by the specified angles in one go.

Rotation is possible when the component is separate from others.

The positive direction of rotation is determined by the right-hand rule. The thumb will point in the direction of the axis, and the fingers on the fist will determine the direction of positive rotation.

1. Click the button.

   

2. Enter the values of the Gamma, Beta and Alpha angles separated by commas.

Note

• In the model window, you can enable automatic component rotation.

  

• If the orientation of a component is fully linked with grip point linkages, the rotation cannot be edited. For example, a T branch with pipe components linked to its main and branch ends.
• You can also rotate a component around a single axis by a certain angle. For example: you can rotate a component around the Z axis in steps of 90/15° by clicking the following button.
