Solving and Updating an Option Configuration
After selecting the option groups to be solved and the drawings
to be created from them, you can start solving an option
configuration. If the option configuration contains several option
groups with several options to be solved, solving them may take
some time. You can leave the program to solve the option groups
overnight, for example.
- Select Option System > Master Set >
Solve and Update. You will receive the prompt:
"Solve and update master set drawings?"
- Do either of the following:
- Select Yes. The program solves the options and creates
the selected drawings. The program creates a subfolder in the
project's MS folder according to the name of the option group. The
drawings and material database will be saved in this folder. The
solved model remains active.
- Select No, if you want to cancel starting the
solving.
After the drawings have been created, you can add them to the
master sets.
Note
- If the drawings of an option group already exist and the
building model has not been changed since the last solving, new
solving is not performed.
- View-specific drawing settings of elevation drawings are taken
into consideration in option solving, when the keyword
USE_VIEW_SETTINGS is enabled in the Automatic Execution database
(d_OPTEXEC).
- You can restore the option model with the function
Option System > Restore
Option Model.
- Any error messages during solving will be directed to the
../user/ERRLOG file.
