Option System

Parameter Options

You can optionalize the dimension constraints and height levels in a building model as follows:

  1. Select Option System > Parameter Options. The Parameter Options dialog box opens.
  2. Add a new parameter option by clicking the Add row button.
  3. Define the option condition which must be realized for the parameter value to be applied. Find the option code from the Options database by clicking the Select button. The Project Options database view opens. Move the cursor on the desired row and click the OK button.

    The Project Options Database View

You can use three operators to define the option condition:

Select one of the radio buttons, if necessary, and then select another option from the Options database. The logical operations are performed in the following order: first the Not operation, then the And operations and finally the Or operations.

  4. Select the parameter's type from the Object class list, for example dimension or height.
  5. Select the parameter from the Parameter name list, for example the name of a height level or the variable defined for a dimension constraint.
  6. In the Parameter value field, type the value which will be set for the parameter, if the option condition realizes.
