The Project Options Database View

Project Options database view, when the DesignStream Interface add-on feature is available to you.

Edit the project-specific option database in the Project Options database view. You may add options to the database at any time, even when you are adding options to the floor plan.

You can add items to the database by selecting one of the following functions from the menu bar of the database view:

Order

Each option has a unique number which is used to sort and organize the option list in the database view.

ID

The key field. The maximum length of the option ID is 16 characters. The ID will be displayed on the drawing where you add the option. It is also used to identify the option when the option is edited or solved. Get the option and its ID from the DesignStream system by clicking the Search button.

Alternatively, you can type a desired ID in the field, or select one of the following values from the list:

Do not use following character strings within the option ID: or, and, not. For example motorrm.

Search

Click the button to select one option from the DesignStream system.

  1. Fill in the search criteria in the Search dialog box. You can define one or more search terms. You can shorten a search term with an asterisk (*). You can browse all the available options in the DesignStream system by leaving the search criteria blank and clicking the OK button.

  2. Select the desired option from the list of search results.

The data of the selected option is automatically filled in the fields of the Project Options database view, with the exception of the order number. You can organize the options in the database view by adding order numbers for the options.

Name

Type the name of the option in the field. Notice, that you will later select the options to be tested or solved on the basis of the name. Select a name which makes it easy for you to select the right options.

Description

Descriptive option name to further define the option (20 character limit). The parameter can be used to export information to an external office system.
