Restoring Default Parameters for an Open Drawing

If you have enabled the drawing-specific parameters, you can restore the default element parameters (layers, fonts, pens, line and hatch fonts, dimensions etc.) of the Vertex software for a drawing.

Restoring cannot be undone. If you have imported a file to Vertex in another format and restore the defaults, the original settings of the drawing can no longer be displayed.

1. Select Settings > Restore Parameters.

   This function is available only when the drawing-specific parameters are in use.

2. Select the parameters to be restored in the Restore Parameters dialog box.

Dialog Box Options

Select one or more of the following check boxes:

• Layers and Layer Groups

• Fonts

• Pens

• Line and Hatch Fonts

• Measures and Part Numbers

When you select a check box, the preview image of the corresponding parameter is updated.

Layer Visibility

You can check the layers and layer groups visible in the drawing by clicking the Layer Visibility button.

OK

Accept restoring the selected default parameters for the drawing.

Cancel

Leave the parameters of the original drawing unchanged. Alternatively, press the Esc key.

Note

• You can choose to restore only the default layers by selecting Layers > Restore Default Layer Selections from the toolbar.
• The drawing-specific parameters are in use when the keyword set.use.picparams= 1 is set in the user/SETUP file.
