Create Part Drawings

You can use this function to create part drawings of selected panels. You can create drawings of all parts or only those parts with one or more saw cuts or notches. If the sub panels are included in the panel, for example beam panels, you can also update the panel drawings of the sub panels.

The part numbering system selected for a horizontal structure panel determines how the parts are numbered. Part numbering is panel-specific.

1. Select Panels > Create Part Drawings.
2. Select the panels.
3. Select Confirm. The Part Drawings dialog box is opened.
4. Make the following selections in the dialog box:
   • Drawing template - Select the template to be used. The template is located in either ../custom/picts or ../system/picts.
   • Filter perpendicular cut pieces - Select this checkbox when you do not wish to form part drawings from simple, straight parts with no saw cuts or notches. In addition, you can select the following:
     • Allow one cut in main direction - Part drawings will not be formed of parts with a maximum of one saw cut in the main direction.
     • Allow one notch in main direction - Part drawings will not be formed of parts with a maximum of one notch in the main direction.
   • Update Subelement Drawings - Select the check box, when you also wish to update the panel drawings of the sub panels included in the panel. A sub panel can be a beam panel consisting of several profiles, for example. The function does not generate the part drawings of sub panels.
5. Confirm by clicking OK.

The program will generate the part drawings of the selected panels. You can open the part drawings with the Open Part Drawings function.

Note

• A panel drawing must be created of a panel before a part drawing can be created.
• You can also generate the part drawings by selecting the function in the project's document browser:
  1. Open the branch Structural drawings.
  2. Open the branch Floor panels, Roof Panels or Wall panels.
  3. Move the cursor over the panel label.
  4. Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu.
  5. Select Create Part Drawings.
