Build panels based on current layers

This function is on by default when you add panels to a horizontal structure. The layers of a horizontal structure and their materials have been selected when the structure was added. Different layers of the structure have geometry in the model. You can also include layers above or below the layer in which the panel breaks have been added to the panel. Select the number of layers by using a function on the contextual toolbar:

• Above layers

  Type the number of layers above the reference layer in the text box. The reference layer is the layer to which the panel breaks have been added and to which the panels are created.

• Below layers

  Type the number of layers below the reference layer in the text box. The reference layer is the layer to which the panel breaks have been added and to which the panels are created.

Build panel into one layer

In some special cases the horizontal structure may be so complex that it cannot easily be modeled. In such cases, the structure is modeled as one piece and the details of the structure are defined in the material register. When you wish to add panels to this kind of structure, select Build panel into one layer from the contextual toolbar. The function loads the data of the structure from the material database.
