Notching Along Joist Length

1. Select Beams, Columns > Connection Details.
2. Select the folder Notch / Free in the browser.
3. Select Notch Along Joist Length.
4. Select the notch parameters in the Notch Along Joist Length dialog box:
   • Length (L)
   • Depth (d)
   • Select whether the beam's top or bottom edge is notched:
     • Top

       

     • Bottom

       

5. Confirm by clicking OK.
6. Select the beams to be notched. Select the beams one by one with the Ctrl key pressed or use area selection.
7. Select Confirm.
8. Click the location of the notch's center point.
