Defines the general drawing and modeling properties such as the grid and origin. You can define the properties in a dialog box with multiple tabs.
Type
Sets the grid type as rectangular, circular or no grid (default). When you select the rectangular grid, set the horizontal and vertical spacing. When you select the circular grid, set the angle in addition to these.
You can snap the cursor to points on the grid by pressing the angle brackets keys (<>) on the keyboard. The cursor will snap in the direction of the grid. If you have selected the automatic point snapping to be in use, the cursor automatically snaps to grid points as well, if the check box Snap to grid points has been selected in the tab Cursor of the dialog box.
Rectangular grid.
Circular grid: spacing in the direction of the radius L, angle spacing a1.
Circular grid: spacing in the direction of the radius L, angle spacing a1, angle a2.
Origin
Sets the origin of the grid. The default value is the origin of the coordinate system, defined by the program.
Select Location
Sets the location of the grid. Click Select Location to select a new origin and one direction point for the grid, which defines the X axis direction.
