Update Building Components
Use this function to update changes made in the library or to
the geometric presentation of a component to the building
components in the project. You can update the following
changes:
- The component type has been changed in the library.
- A new parameter has been added to a component in the
library.
- A drawing or model file in a component library folder
(../custom/complibs/macro_custom, for example) has been opened and
the geometry has been edited.
- The application development program that creates the component
geometry has been edited.
- The geometry of a component in the project has been opened and
edited. You can restore the component geometry according to the
library.
- The geometric properties of the component label have been
edited.
Update the building component as follows:
- Select
Building Components > Advanced > Update
Building Components.
The Update Library Components dialog box opens. All the building
components in the project that match the type selected in the
Filter list are displayed in the list in the dialog
box.
- In the dialog box, select the data you wish to update and the
building components to update.

- Confirm by clicking OK.
Note
- The program cannot find a component in the library in the
following cases:
- The code has changed.
- The name of the drawing or model file has been changed.
- The name of the application development program has been
changed.
- An automatically generated geometry has been replaced with a
drawing or model file.
- If you delete a component parameter in the component library or
change the parameter value, the changes will not be updated in the
building components in the project.
- You can enable the automatic updating of building components
