Setting the Trim Planes of a Railing
You can trim a railing to a selected surface when the 3D model
of a building is activated.
- Select the railing. You can select more than one object by
pressing and holding the Ctrl key.
- Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu.
- Select Set Railing Trimming Planes.
- Select the surface to which the railing is to be trimmed.
- Select trimming method.
- Stretch to surface - This function is used
to stretch a railing to the selected surface such that the baseline
of the railing ends at the surface.
- Cut with surface - This function is used
to cut a railing in two at the point where the baseline of the
railing intersects the selected surface.
- Remove the end passing the surface - This
function is used to trim a railing to a surface such that the
length of the baseline of the railing is not affected. This
function can be used, for example, at the top of a handrail when
the railing is cut with a floor or a roof.
- Select Confirm.
Note
- A railing cannot be longer than its baseline in any place. On
the other hand, a railing body can be longer than the baseline of
the railing.
