Notch Data

Defines a notch with the specified dimensions in the corner or intersection of two straight lines. Define the properties in the dialog box.

If the 2D Constraining Manager is enabled, dimension constraints and coincident constraints are connected to the notch.

Dialog Box Options

A

Determines the distance of the notch from the corner point on the first straight line. The meaning of the letter symbols is depicted in the figure in the dialog box. Select a suitable value from the list or enter a dimension value in the field.

The field options are defined in the draft keyword group with the keyword notching.

B

Determines the distance of the notch from the corner point on the second straight line.

A<->B

This function can be used to interchange the notch values A and B.

Interchange the notch values A and B. The notch will be positioned as follows:

Properties

Defines the notch line properties. Define the line properties in the dialog box.

Keep Line 1

When this checkbox is selected, the selected line will retain its length. Line 1 is the line you selected first. If the checkbox is empty, the line will be trimmed to the notch.

Keep Line 2

When this checkbox is selected, the selected line will retain its length in the notch. Line 2 is the line you selected second. If the checkbox is empty, the line will be trimmed to the notch.

Use this function to change the notch, if it is possible to add a different kind of notch bevel to the intersection of the lines. Click the Next button.
