Layer Group Settings

The names of the layer groups available to the software, and the layers belonging to them, are defined in the system settings.

1. Select Settings > Edit Setup. The Vertex Settings dialog box is opened.
2. If necessary, clear the Administrator's View checkbox.
3. Select Levels/Level groups.
4. Do one of the following:
   • Select the layers belonging to the layer group
     1. Select a layer group from the Layer Groups list.
     2. Select the layers belonging to the layer group from the Layers list.
   • Create a new layer group
     1. Click the Add Layer Group button.
     2. Enter a name for the layer group in the text box.
     3. Select the layers belonging to the layer group from the Layers list.
   • Rename a layer group
     1. Select a layer group from the Layer Groups list.
     2. Click the Rename button.
     3. Enter a name for the layer group in the text box.
   • Delete a layer group
     1. Select a layer group from the Layer Groups list.
     2. Click the Remove Layer Group button.
5. Confirm by clicking OK.
6. Restart Vertex.

• If you wish to add a layer group to the Layers menu on the toolbar, add characters ** in front of the layer group's name, for example: **My Layer Group.
• If Administrator's View is selected, the keyword is level_group.
