Parametric Building Model - Settings
When beginning to design a parametric building model, check that
the following settings are enabled on the menu bar:
- Settings > 2D Constraint Manager
- Settings > Associative Dimensions > Associativity of
Dimensions
- Settings > Constraints and Automatic Sketching >
Associative Walls
These settings are enabled as a default in the basic software
delivery. You can also enable the following settings in the
menu:
- Settings > Constraints And Automatic Sketching >
Automatic Floors - The program will automatically add a floor
based on a closed wall chain in the floor plan. You can select the
floor structure from a list. The program will add the floor to its
own drawing-model pair.
- Settings > Constraints And Automatic Sketching >
Automatic Rooms - The program will automatically create rooms
based on the walls in the floor plan and calculate the floor
area.
The settings Associativity of Dimensions and 2D Constraint
Manager will remain enabled until you disable them. Other settings
are project-specific. The enabled settings are saved when you save
the project.
Note
- Settings > Constraints and Automatic Sketching >
Associative Walls is on by default, if the project's PARAMETERS
file contains the keyword BDASSO "YES".
- Automatic fixing of building components in the model is
enabled, when the project's PARAMETERS file contains the keyword
CONSTROBJ "YES". Beginning from version 15, the template projects
included in the standard software delivery of the Finnish version
will include the CONSTROBJ keyword. In projects created with older
software versions, building components cannot be fixed due to
changes made in the object technology of the building components.
If you wish to disable the feature, change the value of the
parameter CONSTROBJ to NO.
