Testing Options
Use this function to check the options to insure that they work
correctly before solving the options. With this function, you can
activate all options with the same name in all drawing-model pairs.
The program will move the components of the selected option into
place by adjusting the locating point of the option and the
locating point in the floor plan. You can select several options at
the same time, as long as they do not have a common locating
point.
- Select Option System > Test
Options.
- Select the options to be processed from the Select Options
list.
Select Options
List
- The program checks whether the objects belonging to an option
has links to objects outside the option. If links are found, the
program warns about them. You can choose how to proceed the
function by selecting one of the following options:
- Yes - The checking continues going through all the
objects.
- No - The checking does not continue. You will move
directly to solving/activating options.
- Cancel - The checking and the entire solving/activating
process is interrupted.
Note
- Before testing the options, modify all drawings that are
affected by the option. In other words, if a fireplace is added as
an option, the foundation plan, first floor plan, first floor
framing, second floor plan, second floor framing, roof plan etc.
should have an option reflecting the changes that will be
made.
- The stretch and reverse building options will not be processed
when you use the Test options function. These options will be
processed when you solve the options.
- All the available options for the project are listed in the
Select Options list. On the list, there may be options which can’t
be selected at the same time, or options which must be processed at
the same time. You can control the selection of options by setting
option rules.
- You can activate individual options in the active drawing-model
pair with the function Activating an
Option.
- Once all options work correctly you can solve the options.
- You can control updating the piece schedules during option
testing/solving with the keyword upd_piece_schedules_during_testing
in the BDSXX keyword group.
- upd_piece_schedules_during_testing = 1: Default value (also
when the keyword has not been set). The piece schedules will be
updated during option testing/solving.
- upd_piece_schedules_during_testing = 0: The program asks if you
wish to update the piece schedules.
- upd_piece_schedules_during_testing = -1: The piece schedules
will not be updated and no confirmation will be asked from the
user.
