Setting of Tangential Lines

Use this function to define the drawing of tangential lines in a model drawing either as shape lines, virtual lines, or lines will not be drawn. You can select the tangential lines setting, when the model window or drawing window is active. If you make a choice when the model drawing is active, the projections of a drawing will be updated automatically after confirming the selection. In another case, the projections will be updated when opening a drawing, or if the drawing is opened in a working window, the projections must be updated separately.

1. Activate the model drawing.
2. Select the Draft> Tangential lines function.
3. Select one of the following in the dialog box:
   • Draw as shape lines (A).
   • Draw as virtual shape lines (B).
   • Lines are not drawn (C).
4. Confirm the selection.

Note

• If you select the tangential lines setting when the model window is active, you can update the projections in an opened drawing by selecting the Update function. Updating the projections in an assembly model will take a longer time.
• Tangential lines is a drawing-specific property not a projection-specific property. The setting is not saved in a drawing.
